The holiday season is an exciting time for family and friends to celebrate together, but it also comes with many dangers for our furry friends. It is important to remember your pets during the holidays season so you can look out for their safety. Read the following tips to ensure a cheerful, stress-free holiday season.
Keep the mistletoe and poinsettia plants out your pets reach. Both of these plants are poisonous to pets.
Use care with holiday lights. Dogs and Cats may become intrigued with the lights and get tangled in them.
Make sure to keep electric wires out of reach of your pets. They may chew the cords, resulting in shock or electrocution.
Keep an eye on your pets around glass ornaments, as they are more likely to break and result in cuts.
It is important to keep your pet away from other commercial ornaments as well. They may contain paint or other toxins that are harmful if ingested.
Keep tinsel out of your dogs reach. If ingested, it can block the intestines& cause other problems.
Holiday nuts are very toxic for your dog, including macadamia nuts, almonds, pecans, & walnuts.
Chocolates, even when ingested in small portions, are toxic to dogs. Do not let them ingest any amount of chocolate.
Keep glasses with alcohol out of reach. It is toxic for animals.
